The golden pair of sports continues to be Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens. After pulling off his first career interception, the Olympic gymnast sent a romantic message to the Houston Texans quarterback.

On Dec. 27, the four-time Olympic gold winner turned to Instagram to express her love for her boyfriend after reaching an important step in his NFL career throughout a contest and against the Los Angeles Chargers.
“I’m extremely happy for you, seeing you have your first NFL interception & kickoff return was a fantasy!” The 24-year-old gymnast wrote with a picture of the pair hugging outside NRG Stadium, where Jonathan and the Houston Texans defeated the visiting club 41-29 on Dec. 26.
“All of your work and dedication is coming off, and this is only the start!” she said. “I adore you, @jowens 3,” she says.
“Forever shouting loudly and proudly for #36,” Simone, who was wearing Jonathan’s jersey in the romantic photo, added.
Jonathan also offered nothing but kind words for Simone in the comments area of her article, proving that they’re one of the sports world’s golden couples. “Thank you sweetie, very pleased you could be there,” he answered with two red love emojis.
Simone also reposted the footage of Jonathan’s interception and kickoff return on Twitter. “LFG!!!!!!! #36,” she posted in one tweet.
Simone and Jonathan’s mother were both cheering on the football player at the game. Jonathan said it was “wonderful” to have the two see his milestone in person in a post-game interview posted on the Texans’ website.
“I can’t convey the emotion of having those two in the stands supporting me,” he remarked. “I never would have guessed anything like this would happen. But I’m delighted things worked out.”
After meeting online, Simone and Jonathan began dating last year. The couple has continued to complement one other’s sports achievements after revealing their relationship in August 2020.
Simone described Jonathan as “the most working athlete I know” in an interview with E! News Daily Pop in June.
“However, we often get into disagreements over which activity is tougher,” she said. “We’re always there for each other, yet at the end of the day, we’re still incredibly close.”
“Imma ride with you through everything baby,” Jonathan said in dedication to Simone during the Tokyo Olympics in July, when she fought with a case of the “twisties,” a phenomenon in which a gymnast loses consciousness mid-air before earning two Olympic gold.
He said on Instagram at the time, “Your bravery and bravery are unrivaled, and you motivate me a little more each day SB.” “You’re always going to be my champ baby, and also don’t forget to mention that.”
